In the month of October we honor our Blessed Virgin Mary, Mamma Mary by praying the rosary often. Many of you are already familiar with the rosary prayer.
You cannot imagine just how many blessings your prayers can pour onto the whole world!
When there are very big problems in the world, God lends a keen ear to the prayers of children and listens to them with tenderness.
During the First World War, for example, it was to three children, Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco that God sent Our Lady to Fatima. Mary explained to them what they should do so that the war would stop, and peace come to the world: to bring little sacrifices of love and to pray the Rosary! Today, fear of the coronavirus is widespread, but countless people also suffer from hunger, poverty, disasters, war and persecution. In many countries, people are not free to live their faith or go to church with their families as we do in the United States. We cannot solve these problems alone. Some situations we can only face with God‘s help. For this He relies on you, dear children, and on all of us. Through prayer, with your good will and pure faith, you can draw God‘s tender and merciful love for the world like a magnet.
So in the month of October we pray the rosary often and on Sunday, October 9th, at 9:30am we, at Regina Pacis will pray together in front of the Basilica to encourage ourselves, our families and our community to pray.
